An impressively large coat of arms shield.
Inscribed within its raised crest are the words 'God Save The Queen' and the Latin text for the 'Order of the Garter'. The highest of the British Knighthoods.
This may have be used as street decoration during the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II coming to the throne in 1953. 
Manufactured in hardboard.
